Lizzie gets up and starts to get ready for school. She goes to her closet to find her favorite shirt, but it isn’t there. She looks all over and can’t find it, and then her sister walks in and she is wearing it. This makes Lizzie really angry inside, but she doesn’t do anything; she just stuffs her anger inside.
 Lizzie's morning starts with frustration as she can't find her favorite shirt; her sister is wearing it. Suppressing her anger, she changes and heads downstairs, only for the cat to spill her juice. Again, she bottles up her emotions and changes. Missing her bus adds to her day's mishaps. At school, her friends ignore her, she forgets her homework, and her hat gets tossed in mud. Each incident fuels her anger. Finally, at home, she explodes when she finds her brother playing her new CD, yelling and throwing it on the floor.
 
 


 

What a Day

Lizzie woke up feeling happy. It was a sunny day, perfect for wearing her favorite shirt. But when she went to her closet, it was missing! She searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Then, her sister walked in, wearing the shirt. Lizzie felt a storm of anger inside her, but she didn't say a word.

The Missing Shirt

Trying to keep her cool, Lizzie changed into another outfit. But as she was about to eat breakfast, the cat jumped on the table, knocking her juice over. Her clothes were soaked! She changed again, still not letting her anger out. Then, she missed her bus. It seemed like the day was against her.

One Thing After Another

At school, things didn't get any better. Her friends didn't talk to her, making her feel alone. She then realized she forgot her homework. To top it off, someone tossed her hat into a puddle of mud. Each incident made her angrier, but she kept it all inside.

A Rough Day at School

When Lizzie got home, she found her brother playing with her new CD. That was the last straw. She exploded with anger, yelling and throwing the CD on the floor. It was then she realized how much she had bottled up. Lizzie learned it's important to express feelings before they build up too much.
