A little one-room wooden house on the Great Plain of Kansas. It is very simple. Everything around is gray, even the grass is gray, and even the little garden in which the little window of the house looks out is gray. There are no trees or flowers around.

One day, a mysterious storm hit the Great Plain of Kansas. Dorothy, a 10-year-old girl, was in her little gray house when the storm began. The wind howled loudly, and the sky turned dark. Dorothy peeked out of her window and saw something strange approaching.

As Dorothy watched in amazement, the storm transformed into a magical cyclone. It spun faster and faster, lifting her house high into the sky. Dorothy held onto a chair tightly as the cyclone carried her and the house far away.

After a whirlwind journey, Dorothy's house landed in a colorful and magical land called Oz. She stepped out to find a land filled with talking animals, friendly munchkins, and beautiful flowers of every color. Dorothy knew she was in for an adventure.
