One sunny afternoon, Nina was walking home from school when she heard a soft whimpering coming from a nearby alley. Curious, she followed the sound and found a small, scared pug. His big eyes looked up at her, full of hope. Nina knew she couldn't leave him there, so she scooped him up and decided to call him Mailo.

The Day We Met
