Karter was excited for her first day of school. She woke up early and put on her favorite dress. Her older sister, Sierra, helped her pack her backpack. Karter's mom and dad walked her to the bus stop. Karter waved goodbye as the bus drove away.

The First Day

When Karter arrived at school, she felt a little nervous. But then she saw another girl who looked just as nervous. 'Hi, I'm Karter,' she said with a big smile. 'I'm Brooklyn,' the girl replied. They quickly became friends and decided to sit together in class.
